Prom this year was bittersweet. My son Drew wears the green in honor of his friend Breadon Hyland who was killed in a tragic car accident last October. Braedon always wore crazy shoes and I am sure he was smiling down when Drew put these on. In honor of Breadon, his parents have established a foundation that seeks to raise money to provide scholarships for kids who cannot afford the sport of hockey. Braedon loved to play hockey and it is a fitting tribute to his memory.
